Alternatives to Brazilian softwood plywood
high-quality, durable and available
Since the start of anti-dumping investigation AD729 into Brazilian softwood plywood, the demand for stable, reliable alternatives has been growing. Altripan offers you several high-quality solutions available directly from stock.
Our alternatives:
Lumin – Construction plywood based on Pinus taeda, produced in Uruguay. FSC-certified, technically stable and CE2+ approved.
Altripine – African plywood based on Pinus patula among others, a robust choice for various construction applications. CE2+ approved.
Alpha Spruce – Our private label alternative to classic Finnish spruce. Consistent quality, attractively priced and CE2+ certified.
Radiata B/CP – Asian plywood with flawless surface, ideal for vision work or interior construction. CE2+ standard.
Altripine Premium – European plywood based on Pinus sylvestris, characterised by its durability and strength. Naturally CE2+.
All the above products are available in standard sizes as well as with tongue and groove for easy installation in floors and walls or other structural applications.
Important difference: these alternatives are CE2+ certified for structural use. Classic Brazilian plywood based on Elliotti pine is usually only CE4-certified and therefore of limited use in load-bearing structures within the European market.
With strong stocks, fast deliveries and technical advice, we help you switch smoothly to a reliable alternative.
